Washington Healthcare Workforce Sentinel Network
The Sentinel Network is a project of Washington's Healthcare Workforce Council. It supports efficient and effective workforce preparation and deployment by identifying emerging signals and changes in health workforce demand and rapidly disseminating this information to education, training and policy partners who can take action based on the findings. It utilizes surveys to collect qualitative demand information from healthcare facilities across the state and uses this information to inform policy and decision makers. All information is kept confidential and are reported in aggregate form, grouped with data from other similar organizations.
Utah Nursing Workforce Information Center - Demand Data Collection
The Utah Nursing Workforce Information Center is housed within the Utah Medical Education Council and actively works to develop online RN workforce survey and other surveys to support national efforts by the NCSBN and the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers to gather minimum data sets in supply, demand, and education for nursing in the United States. The Utah State Legislature passed a bill that allowed the Utah Department of Workforce Services and the Utah Division of Public Licensing to identify nursing employers across the state through payments made into the state's unemployment insurance program and through a comprehensive survey instrument. To implement such a program in West Virginia, legislation allowing the data to be shared between the West Virginia Center for Nursing, Workforce WV, the West Virginia Registered Nursing Board, and the West Virginia Licensed Practical Nursing Board.
